Shermco Canada is seeking a motivated, safety-focused Apprentice Electrician to join our growing Saskatchewan team. Based in Regina, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of industrial projects while working alongside experienced professionals committed to safety, quality, and technical excellence.

Our team supports clients across diverse sectors including utilities, mining, oil & gas, and technology, working on systems ranging from 24V to 230kV. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, expand your industry knowledge, and build a long-term career in the electrical trade.

As a registered Apprentice Electrician, you will:

• Perform assigned electrical tasks under the supervision of a certified Journeyperson Electrician in accordance with SATCC regulations
• Assist in the installation, construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
• Work with low, medium, and high voltage systems appropriate to your level of training and competency
• Participate in structured, progressive skills development consistent with your apprenticeship level
• Accurately record hours worked and tasks performed toward apprenticeship requirements
• Support troubleshooting and testing of electrical and control systems
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
• Travel to project sites, including out-of-town work, as required

Apprenticeship & Regulatory Requirements

• Must be registered or eligible for registration as an Apprentice Electrician with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC)
• Commitment to completing required technical training (in-school training) and on-the-job training hours
• Maintain a valid apprenticeship agreement throughout employment

• Registered or eligible to register as an Apprentice Electrician in Saskatchewan
• Previous industrial or commercial electrical experience is considered an asset
• Completion of relevant safety training (e.g., CSTS, WHMIS) is an asset
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Willingness and availability to travel for project-based work
• Commitment to safe work practices and continuous learning

Health, Safety & Workplace Requirements

• Compliance with all Shermco Canada Health, Safety, and Environmental policies is required
• Participation in required training and safety programs is mandatory
• This position may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing testing in accordance with Shermco Canada’s Alcohol and Drug Policy and applicable laws
