Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain hardware for the Wenco Fleet Management System (FMS) on mobile mining equipment.
  • Deploy and manage Rajant networking infrastructure.
  • Maintain onboard radios and trailer repeaters for the industrial network.
  • Efficiently manage parts inventory.
  • Prioritize and perform repairs related to radio systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and components on mobile mining equipment.
  • Handle AC voltage and wiring, including minor repair of generators for high-voltage lighting and heavy equipment heater systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education, Experience & Qualification

    • Red Seal Certification (Electrician)
    • A minimum of 4-5 years of related industrial experience, specifically in a maintenance capacity within a mining or similar heavy industrial environment.
    • Familiarity with Wenco Fleet Management System (FMS) or similar dispatch system hardware and software.
    • Experience troubleshooting and repairing radio hardware. 
    • Completion of Grade 12
    • Valid Driver’s License

    Technical Competencies & Skills

    • Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
    • Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities, especially with dispatch personnel, equipment operators, and the IT Department.
    • Physical fitness to perform labor-intensive tasks, including working at heights and in tight areas.
    • Proficient in network troubleshooting and repair.
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects and tasks effectively.
    • Good English communication skills both oral and written.
    • Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
    • Proven safety and attendance record.
    • Knowledge of computer maintenance systems.

The hourly rate for Red Seal Certified Dispatch Electricians is $58.00 per hour. Our benefits package includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among several other perks!
