To meet the growing demand for our product we’re currently seeking an Engineering Shop Technician. In this role you will work closely with Engineering teams to support development, validation, manufacturing and continuous improvement of our products.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Fabricate, build, inspect, and repair prototypes, test setups, jigs and other non-production components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Identify process inefficiencies, quality concerns, or safety risks and bring them forward
• Verify fit, finish, and functionality to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify defects, errors, or deviations and take appropriate action to prevent quality issues from advancing
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and safe work practices at all times.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest practical solutions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation aligned with 5S standards
• Communicate progress, risks, and challenges clearly to support strong follow-through
• Contribute to the effectiveness and consistency of shop processes and workflows
• Work collaboratively with team members and leaders to meet project goals
We’re Looking For:
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role
• Strong fabrication and mechanical aptitude; machining experience considered an asset
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, drawings, and specifications
• Lean manufacturing or engineering shop experience considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail with a quality‑focused mindset
• Problem‑solving skills and willingness to raise concerns or improvement ideas
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Commitment to safety, consistency, and continuous learning
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Office 365; experience with workflow and project management software
• CAD experience is considered an asset
