You You Are

You're an Engineering Student (3rd or 4th year) that can support our product development team during the summer term. This role provides hands‑on exposure to real‑world product design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes within a collaborative, innovation‑focused environment.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and designers to support active development initiatives tied to DIRTT’s modular construction and interior solutions.

 

What You'll Do

  • Support product design and development activities, including concept evaluation and design refinement
  • Assist with CAD modeling, drawings, and documentation
  • Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation activities
  • Support materials, manufacturing, or assembly investigations
  • Document design changes, test results, and development learnings
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (manufacturing, operations, design)

What You'll Bring

  • Currently enrolled in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering program
  • Completed at least 2 years of post‑secondary education (3rd‑ or 4th‑year preferred)
  • Working knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • Interest in product development, manufacturing, or modular construction
  • Eligible to work in Canada and returning to school after the work term

Additional Information

Location: Calgary, AB, DIRTT HQ
Term: Summer 2026 (May–August, ~12–16 weeks)
Hours: Full‑time
Target candidates: 3rd‑ or 4th‑year Engineering students
