Equipment You'll Work With

No two days are the same.

Depending on customer needs, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of forestry and construction equipment, including:

• Ponsse forestry equipment
• Rotobec material handlers and attachments
• Landrich forestry equipment
• Terex Fuchs material handlers
• JCB construction equipment
• Hyundai construction equipment
• A variety of other makes and models serviced for our customers

The variety of equipment means you'll continue developing your skills while gaining experience across multiple product lines, manufacturers, and technologies.

Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll travel throughout the territory providing professional service and technical expertise to our customers.

Whether you're diagnosing an issue in the field, performing preventative maintenance, or completing a major repair, your work helps keep our customers productive and their equipment operating at their best.

A Typical Day

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic issues on heavy equipment.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, inspections, and equipment servicing.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic software, electronic testing equipment, and specialized tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
• Inspect equipment and recommend repairs or maintenance that help reduce customer downtime.
• Complete service documentation accurately and professionally.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment concerns and repair recommendations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
• Represent ALPA Equipment with professionalism while delivering exceptional customer service.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for skilled tradespeople who enjoy troubleshooting, take pride in quality workmanship, and are committed to providing outstanding customer service.

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technicians
• Registered Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentices
• Journeyperson Millwrights
• Truck and Transport Technicians
• Agricultural Equipment Technicians
• Industrial Mechanics
• Experienced mechanics with transferable hydraulic, diesel, electrical, or mechanical diagnostic skills

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will also be considered.

You'll be successful in this role if you have:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using computers and electronic diagnostic equipment.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• A commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required to support our customers.
• A valid driver's licence.
• Bilingualism (English/French) may be considered an asset depending on the branch, territory, and customer base.
