Location: Kitchener, ON

Compensation: $42.70/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday – Day Shift

Worklynx Recruitment Inc. is currently hiring an HVAC Technician for one of our clients located in Kitchener, ON.

About the Role

We are recruiting for an HVAC Technician to join a Kitchener production team on the day shift. This is a unionized position offering $42.70/hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify mechanical equipment using engineering drawings, field sketches, related documents, and verbal instructions.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC facility equipment safely.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and troubleshoot and repair problems.
• Perform breakdown analysis and create action plans to address root causes.
• Help minimize production downtime and maximize production output.
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the maintenance shop.
• Work across all areas of the facility, including tasks requiring work at heights up to 40 feet using scissor lifts and ladders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must hold a valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Ontario licence.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Relevant experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience reading and troubleshooting electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Creative problem-solving, job task planning, organization, and continuous learning skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 40 lbs safely.
• Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet using scissor lifts and ladders.
• Ability to work in high- or low-temperature areas when required.
• 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), 442A Industrial Electrician, or Gas tickets are desirable.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, with flexibility to accommodate business requirements, including weekends.
