Industrial Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems within our plant. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Location: Hasler Flats, BC (located 30 minutes from Chetwynd, BC). Successful candidate will be responsible for own transportation to and from the plant location.

Hours: 40 hours per week with occasional call-ins as required to support operational needs.

Wage: $59.95 per hour. $400 a month for Northern Allowance.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.

• Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices, schematics, and technical documentation.

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all electrical systems.

• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.

• Install and maintain wiring, control systems, and related components in accordance with electrical codes.

• Ensure compliance with all safety standards.

• Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records.

• Recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency of equipment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician Certification in BC or Red Seal Endorsement (or equivalent).

• Minimum Class B Field Safety Representative (FSR) certification through Technical Safety BC.

• Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, industrial control systems, and automated equipment.

• Ability to read wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical manuals.

• Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Advanced Certificate in Automated Controls Installation and Maintenance (ACIM) is considered an asset.

• Experience in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environment is considered an asset.

• Safety tickets: H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS is considered an asset.
