Position Overview:

The Journeyperson Electrician is responsible for the service tasks on equipment ranging from general product line to small equipment repairs. Also service and repairs to temporary power panels, light towers, heaters, motor starters, submersible pumps & PLC's.

This position will work a Monday to Friday shift at our Edmonton Wirtanen location. If you are a safety conscious team player, self-motivated, autonomous, detail-oriented and possess your Journeyperson Electrical certification with a valid driver’s license, then you are exactly who we are looking for!

Job Description:

  • Service Troubleshooting and Repairs to TCRS Wirtanen fleet of equipment

  • Completion of incoming/outgoing inspections

  • Administrative responsibilities; accurate paperwork and record keeping

  • Instruction and mentoring of technicians

  • Provides leadership with reference to on-site safety requirements.

**Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement**

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Electrical Certification

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers license and a successful abstract

  • Must possess the technical knowledge to perform service tasks on our product line of temp power equipment including: power distribution panels ranging from 100Amp to 3000Amp, transformers, disconnects, splitters, common-bus, electric heaters, motor starters and a wide range of other electrical products in order to fully support our customers temporary power needs

  • Possesses excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and abilities

  • Good understanding of electrical systems

  • Capable of working with minimal supervision

  • Experience testing high voltage equipment would be considered an asset

Important Notes:

  • This is a Monday to Friday (5x2) shift located in Edmonton

  • Candidate selection will be in compliance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
