ROLE SUMMARY:Β The Jr. Lab
Technician supports the development and provides technical expertise in the
development of new products. The Jr. Lab Technician will receive guidance from,
and execute tasks assigned by the Lab Manager to support these activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform laboratory tests to
produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations.
- Carry
out routine tasks accurately and follow strict methodologies to carry out
analyses
- Prepare
specimens, reagents, and samples.
- Perform
standard quality control testing on incoming samples.
- Maintain
and operate laboratory instruments (e.g., pH meter, balances, UV-Vis
spectrophotometer).
- Ensure
the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced.
- Record,
compile and sometimes interpret results to present to senior colleagues.
- Clean
laboratory glassware, equipment, and keep work areas clean and tidy.
- Execute
tests according to standard operating procedures.
- File
and organize lab-related paperwork and electronic documents.
- Perform
mathematical calculations and compose technical reports based on test results.
- Follow
and ensure strict safety procedures and safety checks.
- Set
up and conduct chemical experiments.
- Assist
in the design and execution of sampling, experimental setups, and data
analysis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-5 years of experience in a chemical laboratory
environment.
- Diploma or degree in chemistry or adjacent engineering/bio-science.
- Suitable technical writing skills.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Ability to commission and
maintain technical equipment including a core flood apparatus is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Some travel may be required for this role.
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg.
