Maintenance III - Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter

We are accepting applications for the following:

Position: Maintenance III Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter

Location: Hinton

Start Date: Immediately

Hours:  40 hours per week

Wage Rate:  $40.80 - $47.54, in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement

The competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. 

SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will provide plumbing and gas fitting services to the Facilities Department, under the direction and supervision of the Director of Facilities.

DUTIES:

Duties of this position are to include but are not limited to:

•  Performance of all duties related to the scope of the trade.
•  Assess school buildings, equipment and/or vehicles for required maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•   Valid journeyman's certificate with gas fittings
•  Valid Class 5 Drivers license or higher if required.
•  Other valid certificates as required by Facilities (First Aid, WHMIS, Fire Extinguishers).
• Technology and computer skills (e-mail, computerized inventory control programs, computerized maintenance programs).
• Must be self-motivated, self-directed with the ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and as a team player.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Physical ability to perform required duties.
• HVAC Certification would be an assets but not required. 
• Must have an understanding of RTU's and Boiler Systems.
