Mine Surveyor

Thyssen Mining Construction of Canada is a recognized leader in the underground mine construction industry. We are currently seeking experienced Mine Surveyors for a project located in Ontario. This is a FI/FO position operating on a 2 weeks in 2 weeks out schedule.  Don't pass up this opportunity to potentially work with an amazing team!! 

The applicant responsibilities include the following:

• Locating & marking out excavation extents, concrete foundations and slabs
• Locating & setting anchor bolts, concrete form work, rebar & other embedded items inside the form work
• Locating & setting structural steel structures including setting shims, plumbing and leveling steel columns and beams
• Setting, aligning and leveling mechanical equipment such as conveyor pulleys, motors, overhead crane monorails, overhead bridge cranes, pipe brackets and water supply pipe
• Review drawings & create layouts as required for surveying all of the above items.
• Create survey reports and as built drawings as required for the various items mentioned above
• Assist the engineering and QA/QC group with drawings, inspections, check sheets etc… as required
• Assisted the construction crew with the various construction activities when required

Requirements:

1. Survey experience with robotic total stations.
2. Auto CAD experience.
3. Proficient with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
4. Deswik Software experience
5. Sandvik iSure drill pattern design is an asset

Assets:

1. Underground experience.
2. Construction experience.
3. Heavy Equipment operating experience.
4. Experience with Lecia total stations.
