About the Role
Pipefitter Technician will be part of the Maintenance Team and be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across LNG facilities.
Pipefitter Technician will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Team Leads.
This role may be on a 9/80-or-12-hour rotation schedule.

You will use your expertise to:

Support site continuous improvement both in terms of efficiency but also digitalization initiatives and opportunities to drive best in class performance

Support Turnaround and Major Maintenance Teams, as required, to provide site expertise and guidance during pre-work phases and execution.

Act as a mentor for apprentices to share knowledge and experience to better enable efficiency and best in class performance.
To be successful, you will have:
-
At least 10 years’ experience in the Pipefitter trade in an industrial setting
-
Journey Person with Red Seal qualification
-
Dual trade an asset (Gasfitter/Steamfitter)
-
High levelâ¯of manual handling and rigging experienceâ¯
-
Knowledge of pressure vessels, piping specifications, and ability to interpret technical documents and specifications ensuring to meet industrial standards and regulations.

Knowledge of CMMS (SAP), Maintenance systems to provide work planning and workorder close out feedback.

Flange Management experience an asset
-
Hydrocarbon manufacturing facility experience an asset (LNG, Gas Processing, Upgrading, Refining etc.)

Experience conducting Vessel/equipment closures an asset
-
LOTO and blinding/spading experience an asset
-
Experience working on Cryogenic systems an asset

Both fluent and articulate in English
This role requires that you:

Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.

Know that this role may be expected to be on call on a rotational basis with potential shift schedule and/or Monday to Friday schedules.

Know that during Turnaround Campaign Maintenance events will require additional effort including longer hours and shift workâ¯

Are willing to work outdoors during inclement weather in all seasons including heavy snowfall and periods of heavy rain.â¯

Are able to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights and in confined spaces. Plant design conditions provide structures that are significantly taller than common in industry, individuals must be comfortable with heights as well as travel to and from the workface at heights.
