About the Role:
We are looking for a talented and proven Senior HVAC Project Engineer to join our team based at our Bella Vista office.
Reporting into the Engineering Manager and working alongside an experienced team of Project Engineers and Project Managers you will play an important role in engineering design for both D&C and fully designed projects where you will be involved from project inception to handover.
What will I be doing?
Lead HVAC engineering design for new projects, both D&C and fully documented
Provide technical support to Project and Site Managers during construction
Heat / cooling loads and static calculations
Writing engineering reports, operating instructions and “Safety in Design” documentation
Reviewing mechanical drawings
Liaise with clients and project team to define project requirements
Site visits and attending meetings
Mentoring and coaching Junior Project Engineers
About You:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in the Australian HVAC Industry
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
Broad knowledge of HVAC systems and applicable Australian Standards and Building Codes
Experience in CAD / REVIT would be beneficial
Effective interpersonal skills, with an ability to build trusting and respectful relationships at all levels
Experience in providing direction, feedback and coaching to a team
A strong desire to accept a challenge and deliver results
Be able to communicate effectively on design issues at all levels
Experience in handling competing priorities utilising outstanding organisational and planning ability
Australian citizen or permanent resident with unlimited working rights within Australia, no overseas applications
