WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Specification & Pipeline (S&P) Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities and driving specification growth for Delta Commercial by governing lead qualification, sharing, and tracking to provide clear visibility into pipeline value and status. The role also ensures Delta Commercial is effectively represented on external specification platforms and supports proposal development and crossovers. Working closely with manufacturing agency partners, Business Development Managers, and Marketing, this position enables strong cross‑functional alignment. The S&P Manager plays a critical role in aligning demand and resource planning with the opportunity pipeline.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and manage the means of consistent tracking, distributing, and reporting of the full pipeline within the Heavy Commercial segment from leads, to spec, to quote to order.
Collaborate with Delta Commercial sales agency partners and BDMs to share opportunities, assist in spec writing, holding the spec through order and tracking win/loss data.
Leverage external networks and industry knowledge to unlock, optimize, and accelerate growth.
Perform project specification crossovers and take-offs as needed to win near-term business opportunities.
Bring strategic insights and new perspectives that drive differentiation in the specification community.
Manage the current and future needs of lead and specification tools (i.e., MasterSpec, SpecLink, Dodge, Construct Connect, etc.).
Initiate, lead and direct process improvements balancing agility and structure as pipeline scales.
Collaborate with stakeholders including sales, marketing and IT to enable pipeline automation and optimization.
Ensure consistent tracking, measurement, and communication of progress toward key business goals.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience considered)
5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, specification, or project-opportunity management (e.g., working with architects, engineers, design/build mechanical contractors, and specifiers).
Proven ability to govern and report an end-to-end pipeline (lead qualification, opportunity sharing/routing, stage management, and win/loss tracking) with strong attention to data quality.
Hands-on familiarity with specification and lead-intelligence tools such as MasterSpec, SpecLink, Dodge, ConstructConnect (or equivalent platforms), including maintaining product presence and content.
Strong analytical and data-mining skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for Sales/Marketing and demand/resource planning.
Experience collaborating with external partners (e.g., rep agencies) and internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, IT) to drive adoption of process, tools, and consistent reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including supporting proposal development and specification language efforts.
Understanding of basis-of-design influence and how specs are held through order.
CRM, workflow, and reporting experience (e.g., Salesforce) including pipeline automation, lead routing, and dashboarding (Power BI/Tableau).
Industry credentials (e.g., CSI CDT/CCS, PMP, Lean/Six Sigma) or related training in process improvement.

Hiring Range: $77,900.00 - $122,540.00 CADThe salary range shown reflects the expected annual base salary for this open position, plus other wage amounts such as annual bonus, profit sharing, and commissions.
Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
