Job Summary
Titan Trailers Inc. is seeking a Steel Welder to join our Suspension team at our Tillsonburg plant. In this hands-on role, you will build and assemble suspensions and axles to Titan specifications, using MIG welding, bolting, and various power tools while working from production drawings, blueprints, work orders, and written instructions.​


Job Duties

  • Build various axles with air-ride and spring-ride suspensions for multiple Titan trailer models.
  • Weld and bolt components together according to Titan standards.
  • Use a variety of power tools (grinders, saws, drills, etc.) to complete assigned tasks.
  • Build to drawing specifications and work orders, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
  • Operate welding equipment (GMAW/MIG) to weld assemblies
  • Maintain safe work practices and follow all company health and safety procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Experience in MIG welding (manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred).
  • Ability to weld Aluminum is a strong asset.
  • Experience using power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints is required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Must own reliable transportation and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy production environment.
  • Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse team.
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Able to deal with others sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.


Work Conditions

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Use of overhead crane and forklift as required (training provided where applicable).​
  • Use of required safety equipment: steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, welding helmet, leathers, etc.
  • Extremely busy manufacturing environment; must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Exposure to typical hazards associated with welding and fabrication trades (noise, dust, fumes, hot materials).

Shift
Day shift hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Friday.​

The starting wage for this position is dependent on experience and training. Upon successful completion of a 6‑month probationary period, the successful candidate will be eligible to participate in our benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, Group RRSP, and safety boot and clothing allowance.​
