Employment Duties

The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of construction workers and subcontractors
• Establishing methods to meet work schedules and coordinating work activities with other subcontractors
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Ordering materials and supplies as required
• Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity
• Preparing progress reports and maintaining project documentation
• Monitoring quality control and ensuring projects meet required standards
• Ensuring that deadlines and project milestones are met

Job Requirements

• Completion of high school diploma
• Experience in the construction industry, including supervisory experience, is an asset
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Physically capable of performing site duties as needed
• Valid driver’s licence is an asset

Work Conditions

• Fast-paced environment
• Outdoor work may be required from time to time in various weather conditions
• Ability to stand, walk, and supervise on active construction sites
• Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
• Travel within Canada may be required
