Job Purpose
GSK is looking to hire an MSL Manager, Pipeline Solid Tumors to join our Oncology Medical Affairs Team. This role is field-based with hybrid flexibility and reports directly to the Medical Head of Oncology. This position covers teams across Canada.

As an MSL Manager, Pipeline Solid Tumors, you will be responsible for leading and growing a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team focused on solid tumors across Canada. You will provide scientific leadership, build trusted relationships with Canadian oncology experts, and partner closely with cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with commercial, clinical, regulatory, and global medical teams to ensure consistent, compliant, and impactful scientific communications. You will also use insights from clinical practice and scientific interactions to shape local medical plans, identify research or education opportunities, and support meaningful impact on patient care.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following

  • Lead and coach a team of MSLs to deliver high-quality scientific engagement with oncology healthcare professionals and researchers.

  • Develop and execute pipeline medical strategies for the solid tumor therapy area in Canada, aligned with global plans.

  • Build and maintain trusted scientific relationships with key external experts and academic centres to inform local clinical and research needs.

  • Collaborate with commercial, clinical, regulatory, and global medical teams to ensure consistent, compliant, and impactful scientific communications.

  • Use insights from clinical practice and scientific interactions to shape local pipeline medical plans and identify research or education opportunities.

  • Oversee team performance, budgets, and resource planning to deliver on objectives and support career development for direct reports.
     

Why you?
Basic Qualifications:  
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: 

  • Advanced post-graduate scientific degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) or equivalent clinical experience in oncology or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry or medical affairs experience in oncology, including people leadership.

  • Proven experience with scientific engagement and relationship management with oncology healthcare professionals.

  • Strong knowledge of solid tumor disease areas and clinical practice in Canada.

  • Excellent communication skills in English; French language skills are an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:  
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Prior experience managing an MSL team or medical affairs function in oncology.

  • Experience working with clinical research, investigator-initiated studies, or real-world evidence projects.

  • Track record of developing and implementing medical strategies and local scientific plans.

  • Strong coaching and performance management skills.

  • Experience collaborating with commercial, regulatory, and global medical teams.

  • Fluency in French in addition to English.
