Details of the role
The Research Assistant will support a research study pioneering the potential of novel biomarkers for post-viral syndromes. In this project, post-viral syndromes are studied in research participants after infection from a range of pathogens including SAR CoV-2 (COVID-19) and Epstein Barr Virus (glandular fever), amongst others.
The role involves coordinating day‑to‑day study activities, managing participant visits, overseeing behavioural research tasks, and maintaining accurate study data. The participant will study blood draws, participate in regular research meetings, and provide progress updates to the study team. The Research Assistant will work closely with clinicians and scientists across multiple disciplines and contribute to the smooth operation of the research project.
The role of Research Assistant reports to Associate Professor Lucette Cysique, The Kirby Institute and has no direct reports.
