Introduction

Recruitment Services is assisting a STEEL COMPANY based in ROODEKOP to recruit a TIG/MIG Welder to join their factory production team, R87.84 Per Hour to be paid weekly.

OUR CLIENT, A SPECIALIST STEEL PRODUCT MANUFACTORER, HAS OVER 41 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE WITH AND ARE EXPERTS IN INDUSTRIAL STEEL PRODUCTS AND are looking for AN EXPERIENCED AND SAFETY‑FOCUSED TIG/MIG WELDER TO JOIN THEIR PRODUCTION TEAM

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Duties:
• Welding, fabrication, cutting, and brazing
• Preparing, assembling, aligning, and tack‑welding components
• Interpreting drawings and layouts
• Planning work procedures and preparing tools and materials
• Monitoring welding processes to prevent warping or distortion
• Welding mild steel and aluminium components
• First‑off inspections and ongoing quality checks
• Setting up and adjusting welding equipment
• Safe operation of welding equipment and power tools
• Changing gas cylinders when required
• Basic equipment maintenance and fault reporting
• Reporting safety hazards or defective materials
• Carrying out additional tasks as assigned by management

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements:
• Certificate from a recognized technical training centre
• Minimum 1 year MIG/TIG welding experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience welding mild steel and aluminium
• Competent with measuring instruments
• Basic mathematical calculation skills
• Effective time management skills
• Strong problem‑solving ability
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Good English communication skills
• Safety‑conscious with strong PPE compliance
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Technical certification or diploma from a recognized technical college (advantageous)

Package & Remuneration

Remuneration: R87.84 per hour, paid weekly
